Position Description
The Food/Beverage and Events Manager supports Applied Medical team members by leading the planning, coordination, and execution of on-site food, beverage, café, catering, and event operations. This role is dedicated to delivering high-quality hospitality experiences that enhance team member engagement, satisfaction, and company culture. The position operates within a creative and collaborative team environment and requires on-site attendance to support team members across the organization.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage team members supporting Quick Bites Café operations and special events, including hiring, training, supervision, and performance oversight.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in Quick Bites Café pointofsale and labeling systems, as well as daily, weekly, and monthly sales reporting.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to design and implement menus, pricing, and engaging, salesdriven product displays across café locations.
  • Evaluate and regularly report on guest satisfaction while maintaining a consistently high level of service.
  • Plan, organize, and oversee events of all sizes, including planning meetings, space coordination, vendor and volunteer support, and onsite execution.
  • Manage café and event budgets, expenses, contracts, invoicing, and vendor relationships, and evaluate event success to implement improvements based on feedback.
  • Understand and follow Applied Medical’s Quality Systems (QS) per training, along with all safety rules and company policies.
  • Communicate effectively by reading, writing, and speaking clearly with team members and leadership, and by understanding work and safety instructions.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, including the ability to remain calm and solve problems under pressure while leading by example.
  • Experience interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and developing Team Members, with the ability to build and foster a positive team environment.
  • Ability to multitask, stay self motivated, and work independently and proactively in a fastpaced environment.
  • Ability to work crossfunctionally with all teams and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Experience with point of sale management and handson customer service.
  • Proficiency with computer software including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel, along with a positive, “cando” attitude that reflects the company’s philosophy and values.

The following skills and attributes are preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Current Food Handler’s Certificate or the ability to obtain one within a specified timeframe.
  • Prior experience in food service, hospitality operations, or event management within a corporate or largescale environment.
