The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina is accepting applicants for a Program Coordinator in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS). In coordination with the Centralized Support Team, the Program Coordinator will:

  • Maintain and monitor multiple departmental accounts, track departmental expenditures, and complete purchases, reimbursements, and other clerical tasks
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute SHSS events; assist with internal and external reservations, complete facilities work orders, catering requests, and coordinate payment to external vendors for event-related purchases
  • Communicate and coordinate routine event correspondence, internal and external event invitations, calendar invites, communicate event layouts, and distribute nametags, event signage, swag, and other event materials
  • Serve as an informational resource to SHSS faculty and students, assist with conference registration and travel arrangements for students and faculty, as well as compile data and reports as directed by the Dean and Department Heads using various platforms
  • Provide student support, including coordination of special orders and transportation (e.g., Lyft arrangements), as well as managing graduate assistant and student payroll

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's degree and previous experience in an administrative or student support role.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in event planning and/or academic program coordination. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite applications.
