Job Title: Event CoordinatorLocation-Type: Houston, TX Hybrid, 2-3 days onsite Start Date: ASAPDuration: 6 Month ContractCompensation Range: $38-44/hr W2Benefits: Eligible for Health, Dental, Vision, and 401KVisa Sponsorship: Not eligible for visa sponsorshipJob Description:The Event Coordinator will support the client's events team by managing end-to-end planning, logistics, and execution of internal events and third-party industry conferences.Job Summary•Maintain the organization's global events tracker, ensuring all upcoming events are current and accurately reflected.•Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, coordinating venue and vendor selection, catering, AV, transportation, materials, and seating arrangements.•Build and manage event websites and invitations using Cvent, including list management and attendance tracking.•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather content and deliverables required for each event.•Maintain event budgets, track expenses, and provide regular financial updates to the finance team.•Conduct post-event evaluations by collecting feedback from participants and stakeholders to assess overall success.•Support third-party conference logistics, including registration execution, sponsor material submissions, speaker prep coordination, and pre-event briefing document creation.Minimum Requirements:•Experience with Cvent or similar event management platforms.•3-5 years of professional experience in event planning or a closely related field.•Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, or a related field.•Background or working knowledge of the financial services industry.•Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.•Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.•Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of an organization.•Ability to travel approximately 20% of the time.Preferred Qualifications:•Familiarity with virtual event platforms such as ON24.
