Event Supervisor – Carmen’s Event Centre

What you will be doing:
As an Event Supervisor, you'll be responsible for leading front-of-house operations and ensuring every event is delivered seamlessly from beginning to end. Working closely with the Service Manager and service team, you'll create exceptional guest experiences while maintaining the high standards of Carmen's Group.
Your responsibilities will include:
 
  • Lead the front-of-house team during events, ensuring smooth service and an exceptional guest experience from start to finish.
  • Serve as the on-site representative of the venue, delivering warm, professional hospitality while upholding the Carmen's Group standard.
  • Coordinate event service by overseeing timing, food quality, presentation, and team execution.
  • Welcome guests, anticipate their needs, and professionally resolve questions or concerns throughout the event.
  • Communicate dietary restrictions, allergies, and special requests to the kitchen and service teams to ensure accurate and attentive service.
  • Support the team with food and beverage service, table maintenance, and other operational duties as needed.
  • Make confident decisions and adapt to changing guest needs or event logistics while remaining calm under pressure.
  • Lead by example through strong communication, sound judgment, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support the successful execution of each event.

What we’re looking for:
 
  • 2-3 years of experience in banquet, catering, restaurant, or other high-volume hospitality environments, preferably in a server capacity.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional guest service and creating memorable experiences.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage professionally with guests and team members.
  • The ability to remain calm, organized, and adaptable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience guiding, supporting, or supervising a team preferred.
  • A polished, professional presence appropriate for upscale events and client-facing interactions.
  • Smart Serve Certification (required).
  • A valid G driver's license is considered an asset
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and event-based schedules.
