Beauport Hotel is a premier waterfront destination in Gloucester,where intimate celebrations and elegant weddings come to life throughthoughtful planning and exceptional service. We are looking for anexperienced Event Sales Manager to join our Events team and guideevery event from first inquiry to final toast.

The Event Sales Manager is responsible for the full event lifecycle,from the initial client inquiry through to the final execution of theevent. This role focuses on social sales, detailing, and themanagement of weddings and social events, ensuring a seamlesSEXperience for our clients and their guests while working within acollaborative team of Event Managers. The ideal candidate is adetail-oriented, self-motivated professional with a deep passion forhospitality and a proven track record in wedding and event sales and coordination.

Essential Functions

Essential functions of the position are below. Additional duties maybe assigned as required.

  • Manage the sales pipeline from inquiry to contract, maintainingorganized files of all communication and client inquiries withprompt, professional follow-up.
  • Expertly present our food and beverage options to clients,creating detailed, customized proposals.
  • Produce and provide contracts to clients in accordance withBeauport Hospitality Group guidelines.
  • Generate and service all aspects of wedding and social events,including event space design and food & beverage selections.
  • Produce comprehensive Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and detailedfloor plans to ensure flawless communication and execution of theentire event, including food & beverage, timeline, and vendor coordination.
  • Serve as the primary client contact, building strong, trustingrelationships throughout the planning process to meet and exceed expectations.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to manageevent timelines and the complete production of each event.
  • Oversee event setup and execution to ensure all details arealigned with the client’s vision.
Experience and Skills
  • A minimum of 2–4 years of progressive experience in Catering,Hospitality, and/or Sales, including weddings and food &beverage experience—preferably in a management role.
  • Direct experience managing weddings from sale to execution ishighly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Events, Sales, Hospitality, or a relatedfield is preferred.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs.
  • Strong knowledge of industry-relevant Catering Sales Systems(Caterease experience is a plus) and room diagramming software.
  • Knowledge of sales and event operations in a high-end hospitality environment.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • This role primarily operates at the hotel property, includingfront-of-house, back office, all event spaces, and kitchen areas.
  • The position requires the ability to stand or walk forapproximately 90% of event days (8 or more hours) and lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Work includes a mix of collaborative group projects andindependent tasks.

We offer a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits packagedesigned to support our team members. Compensation is commensuratewith experience, with additional event-based compensation.

Salary range is $60,000–$65,000 per year, commensurate withexperience, with additional event-based compensation. Sign-onbonus: $1,000 after 90 days, $1,000 after 6 months
