Job description

DRIVE. BUILD. TRANSFORM THE SPACE.

This is more than a delivery route. You will work with a crew to turn open spaces into event-ready environments

Help deliver, build, and remove tent environments for weddings, festivals, corporate events, and community celebrations across Virginia.

Pay: Starting at $22/hr

Type: Full Time, Hourly

Location: North Chesterfield, Virginia

Team: Operations

Reports To: Tent Operations Manager

Why This Job Stands Out

Classic Party Rentals of Virginia is looking for a dependable driver who enjoys active, hands-on work and being part of a team. You do not need previous tent-industry experience. Experience in delivery driving, moving, construction, landscaping, roofing, warehouse operations, or other physical work can translate well to this position.

  • $22 per hour, with overtime opportunities during peak event seasons.
  • Additional bonus opportunities may be available for qualifying after-hours and weekend assignments, based on company policy and event needs.
  • A different job site and event environment throughout the week - not the same routine every day.
  • Training and advancement opportunities within a growing event-rental operation.
  • The satisfaction of seeing a finished installation that directly supports a client's event.
What You Will Do
  • Safely drive company trucks to and from event locations throughout Virginia.
  • Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report safety concerns promptly.
  • Load, secure, transport, unload, install, and remove tents and related event equipment.
  • Work from equipment lists, work orders, site plans, installation diagrams, and manager instructions.
  • Assist with tent sidewalls, lighting, heaters, fans, and other event equipment.
  • Verify that the correct equipment is loaded before the crew leaves the warehouse or job site.
  • Protect client property, landscaping, buildings, and venues during installations and removals.
  • Clean, fold, roll, organize, inspect, and properly store tents, tools, hardware, and equipment.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, venue contacts, coworkers, and managers.
  • Support warehouse and other operational duties when tent work is not scheduled.
What We Are Looking For
  • A reliable person who arrives on time, prepared, and ready to work.
  • A safe, responsible driver who takes care of company vehicles and equipment.
  • A team member who works with urgency without sacrificing safety or quality.
  • Someone who follows directions, communicates clearly, and takes ownership of the work.
  • A professional attitude at the warehouse, on the road, and at client job sites.
  • Flexibility to work a variable event-based schedule when business needs require it.
Minimum Qualifications
  • At least 18 years old.
  • Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record that meets company insurance requirements.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the company facility.
  • Ability to read work orders, equipment lists, installation diagrams, and safety instructions.
  • Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a crew.
  • Box-truck, trailer, delivery, construction, landscaping, moving, warehouse, or similar experience is preferred.

    The Physical and Scheduling Reality

This is physically demanding outdoor work. Candidates must be comfortable working in changing weather, on uneven surfaces, and during longer installation or removal shifts.

    • Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull equipment weighing up to 75 pounds, with team lifting for heavier items.
    • Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, reach, and perform repetitive physical work for extended periods.
    • Safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, stakes, and sledgehammers.
    • Work on grass, gravel, pavement, mud, hills, stairs, and uneven terrain.
    • Work outdoors in heat, cold, rain, humidity, wind, and other changing conditions.
    • Be available for early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime when event schedules require it.
    Pay, Benefits, and Earning Opportunities
    • $22 per hour.
    • Overtime opportunities during peak event seasons.
    • Potential bonuses for qualifying after-hours and weekend work, based on company policy and operational needs.
    • Health and other insurance benefits for eligible full-time employees.
    • Paid time off.
    • Employee rental discounts.
    • Training and advancement opportunities.
    • A team-oriented work environment.

Benefits and bonus opportunities are subject to eligibility requirements, company policies, and event needs.

    Our Core Values

Every team member is expected to demonstrate:

Positive Energy | Dedication | Drive to Succeed | Reliability | Flexibility | Accountability
