Event Cleaner Job Details:
Are you someone seeking a position with independent and solitary working conditions, with stable hours and pay? We are seeking enthusiastic, friendly, and caring employees to provide janitorial services and janitorial supervision for our clients' offices in the Richmond area.

  • Location: Downtown Richmond VA
  • Pay: $18/hr
  • Hours: During event and Post event cleaning roles available (Home events only)
  • Shifts approximately 5 hours each

Job Description:

We are looking for dependable and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Event Cleaning Staff. In this role, you'll ensure that event spaces remain clean, organized, and well-maintained throughout various events, including sporting events, graduations, and other special occasions. Your work will help create a welcoming environment for guests by maintaining cleanliness before, during, and after the event.
Key Responsibilities:

  • During Event Support: Maintain cleanliness throughout the event, including promptly clearing away trash, wiping surfaces, restocking restrooms, and assisting with spills or other immediate needs as they arise.
  • Post-Event Tear-down Cleaning: Conduct thorough post-event cleaning, including removing trash, cleaning restrooms, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and ensuring that the venue is restored to its original condition.
  • Waste Management: Collect and properly dispose of all waste and recycling generated during the event, ensuring designated waste areas remain organized.
  • Equipment Handling: Use cleaning equipment, such as vacuums, mops, and brooms, in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Communication: Coordinate with event managers to promptly address any urgent cleaning needs and maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the event.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Prior experience in custodial or event cleaning preferred but not required; training is provided.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, lift, and bend throughout the shift, and lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Professionalism: Punctual, reliable, and able to maintain a courteous and professional demeanor around event guests.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays based on event needs.
  • Team Player: Ability to work efficiently in a team and take direction from supervisors.

Work Hours:

Four hour shifts based on game schedules, typically including weekends and evenings.
