Job description

Description:

Supervises production employees and is responsible for the maintenance of good employee relations together with discipline, safety, and general supervision; trains employees in work conformance to part specifications and adjustment of machines. May also indirectly supervise employees in other departments depending on shift.


Responsibilities

· Supervise operations of the facility with an aim for high performance.

· Drive the training process of all production employees on assigned shift.

· Carry out employee performance reviews or disciplinary actions according to company policy.

· Ensure team is adhering to safety policies, including all proper PPE is worn as required

· Monitoring hourly/daily production and quality control performance records

· Follow escalation process when performance or quality is not met

· Identify inefficiencies, and be responsive and make corrective actions when necessary

· Accurate daily and weekly tracking of employee attendance and timecard management.

· Organizing, monitoring, and prioritizing tasks to meet production goals.

· Evaluating various stations of the production operation to ensure optimum efficiency.

· Maintaining communication between employees and management to ensure procedures and policies are well-understood.

· Performing daily LPA’s

· Ensuring the flow of raw materials and other resources to ensure accurate inventory.

· Implement 5S in all work cells

· Maintains 5S standards for production areas to ensure area is clean, safe, and organized

· Ensure safe working behaviors including lockout, fall protection and mobile equipment operation.

· Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Skills & Experience

6 years of progressively responsible manufacturing related experience.

Must work a varying shift pattern.

Basic communication and team building skills.

Familiarity with ERP systems

Ability to effectively communicate with others.

Ability to identify root causes and solve problems.

Ability to handle conflicts between employees.

Contribute to continuous improvement.

Self-motivated and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Demonstrated good housekeeping practices and 5S principles.
