Job description

The Event Facilities Technician is a hands-on, physically active venue operations position responsible for preparing, maintaining, and resetting event spaces across the Rock Events venue portfolio.
Event Facilities Technicians work directly in our venues to bring event floor plans to life by setting tables and chairs, building stages and dance floors, positioning bars and other furnishings, assisting with event load-in and load-out, and resetting spaces following events.
The role is also responsible for keeping our venues exceptionally clean and guest-ready. This includes sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, refreshing restrooms, removing trash, and maintaining the appearance of event spaces before, during, and after events.

About the role
  • Set up event spaces according to floor plans and event specifications, including tables, chairs, bars, staging, dance floors, and other event furnishings and equipment
  • Break down event spaces following events and properly organize and store furniture, equipment, and event supplies
  • Complete room flips and resets efficiently and accurately, including adjusting layouts and furnishings between events
  • Clean and prepare indoor and outdoor event spaces before, during, and after events, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, sanitizing surfaces, and cleaning glass
  • Maintain venue cleanliness and presentation throughout events, including waste removal, restroom upkeep, spill cleanup, and ensuring guest-facing areas remain clean and polished
  • Assist clients, caterers, vendors, rental companies, and other event partners with load-in and load-out activities
  • Work closely with Event Managers and other Rock Events team members to ensure event setups, breakdowns, and venue needs are executed accurately and efficiently
  • Respond quickly to last-minute event changes, including physically adjusting room layouts, furniture, and equipment as needed
  • Conduct routine facility walkthroughs to identify maintenance, safety, cleanliness, or presentation concerns and report issues as needed
  • Assist with general venue upkeep and other hands-on operational needs as assigned
  • Support other Rock Events venues and teams based on business needs
  • Respond appropriately during emergency situations and facility evacuations when necessary
  • Follow all company safety policies and operational procedures

About you
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in event setup, venue operations, banquet setup, facilities, building services, or a similar hands-on environment preferred, but not required
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean, organized, and professional spaces
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work with a sense of urgency, particularly during event setups, room flips, and breakdowns
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively with others
  • Resourceful, solutions-oriented mindset with a willingness to jump in and help wherever needed
  • Ability to routinely lift, carry, push, pull, and move items weighing up to 75 pounds
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Basic computer skills preferred
  • Professional and courteous when interacting with clients, guests, vendors, and team members
  • Ability to work a flexible event-driven schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require
