About the Position
Tennessee National Golf Club is seeking an experienced, service-driven Food & Beverage and Private Events Manager to lead our dining operations and private events program.
This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality professional who enjoys both operations and event planning. In this role, you will oversee daily food and beverage service, lead and develop front-of-house team members, coordinate private events from booking through execution, and help create exceptional experiences for our members and guests.

Job purpose
This position serves a dual function, providing both floor management support across all dining outlets and primary responsibility for private event sales and coordination. This is a management-level role responsible for leading teams, representing the Club professionally with prospective clients, and ensuring seamless execution of events with a strong attention to detail.
Duties and responsibilities
Floor Management
  • Support daily floor operations across dining outlets
  • Uphold service standards and coaching in front of house staff in real time
  • Assist FOH Manager with scheduling, staff accountability, and shift coverage
  • Serve as a management presence during private events and high-volume periods

Private Event Sales & Coordination
  • Responds to private event inquiries and conduct on-site consultations with prospective clients
  • Build proposals and manage the booking process from first inquiry through signed agreement
  • Develop and manage Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) in coordination with the Director of Food & Beverage and Executive Chef.
  • Serve as day-of coordinator for private events, including setup, execution, and breakdown.
  • Proactively cultivate event leads through the membership base and local community relationships.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • 2 + years of experience in a supervisory or management role in food and beverage, hospitality, or events
  • Demonstrated experience in a desire to develop event sales expertise

Preferred Experience
  • Private club, resort, or upscale hospitality background
  • Experience with BEO creation and execution
  • Experience managing or training front-of-house teams

Working conditions
Work is primarily indoors. Potential exposure to sharp and rapid equipment movement, sharp utensils, harmful chemicals and/or being exposed to flying golf balls.

Physical requirements
Good organizational and verbal skills. Ability to use logical and rational thinking to resolve issues. Ability to perform basic mathematical skills, monitors and develops subordinates, visually monitor the operation areas, write and read member communication.
Must have the ability to perform moderate physical work and may be required to lift up to 50 lbs., up to 30 lbs. frequently and up to 20 lbs. constantly. Perform activities such as bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, standing, pushing, lifting and grasping for up to 5 hours without sitting. Ability to consistently lift, carry and load equipment that may weigh 40 or more pounds, and sustain aerobic activity for 20 consecutive minutes.
Please be advised that all work that requires the use of a ladder more than 8 ft. long must be reviewed by Hampton Golf's Club Maintenance person. Following an assessment of the situation, a determination will be made as to whether a maintenance team member or subcontractors will perform the necessary maintenance task. No other staff member is authorized to climb to heights exceeding 8 ft. and/or perform such maintenance. In addition, personnel are prohibited from entering facility attics, walking on the roof of buildings and/or from using scaffolding.
