The Hyatt Regency Coralville Hotel & Conference Center is seeking a detail-oriented, dependable, and hands-on Banquet Set-Up Supervisor to lead our banquet setup team and ensure every event space is prepared to perfection.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading a team, working behind the scenes to create exceptional guest experiences, and taking pride in transforming event spaces for meetings, conferences, weddings, galas, and special events.
As an Event Set-Up Supervisor, you will oversee room setups, supervise setup associates, maintain banquet equipment, and help ensure every event begins with a flawless first impression.

What You'll Do
As an Event Set-Up Supervisor, you'll lead the preparation and execution of event setups while ensuring banquet spaces are organized, safe, and guest-ready.
Responsibilities include:
  • Supervise and assist banquet set-up associates during event setup, breakdown, and room resets
  • Ensure banquet rooms are set according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), room diagrams, and client specifications
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure meeting and event spaces meet Hyatt standards
  • Coordinate room turnovers and setup timelines to support seamless event execution
  • Train, coach, and support banquet set-up associates
  • Monitor banquet equipment, storage areas, and inventory for cleanliness and organization
  • Ensure tables, chairs, staging, dance floors, risers, and other equipment are properly maintained and stored
  • Communicate effectively with Banquets, Events, Housekeeping, Engineering, and other departments
  • Promote safe work practices and proper equipment handling procedures
  • Identify maintenance concerns and coordinate follow-up as needed
  • Assist with special projects and large-scale event setups
  • Provide hands-on leadership and support during high-volume event periods
  • Attend department meetings and assist with other duties as assigned
