Job description

Summary
Legends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for Outside Operations Lead at Reliant Park in Houston, Texas. Reliant is in the fast lane for opportunity and excitement. We are a one-of-a-kind premier facility with four major venues within one giant park. Reliant Center (one million+ sq. ft. Convention Center), Reliant Stadium (home of the Houston Texans and The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo), Reliant Astrodome ("The" Astrodome), and Reliant Arena. This position serves as a frontline operations leader, supporting event execution across the park. Under the direction of Outside Operations Coordinators and Managers, the Outside Operations Lead assists with supervising staff, coordinating event setup and breakdown, and ensuring safe and efficient operations during events. This role provides hands-on leadership experience and exposure to large-scale events in a fast-paced environment, with opportunities for growth within operations. Acts as liaison between the facility and clients, ensuring all clients' requirements are met and facility rules and policies are adhered to.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Include the following:
  • Lead and support event setup and breakdown activities, including traffic flow setup, signage placement, and barrier installations.
  • Communicate event information and expectations to assigned staff and assist with day-to-day supervision.
  • Serve as a lead presence in parking lots and exterior areas during assigned events.
  • Assist with coordinating labor to ensure efficient and effective event execution.
  • Oversee preparation, placement, and organization of vehicle and pedestrian directional signage.
  • Ensure all equipment and setups meet NRG Park safety and operational standards.
  • Assist with setting up, transport, programming, and maintenance of digital message signs (DMS).
  • Support the maintenance and accountability of equipment, tools, and materials used in Outside Operations.
  • Operate equipment such as golf carts and assist with equipment handling as needed.
  • Participate in team meetings and communicate operational updates.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Supports supervisory activities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities may include assisting with training staff, assigning tasks, and monitoring performance during events, and addressing operational issues as they arise.

Education and/or Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience in event operations, logistics, parking operations, facilities, construction, or a related field is preferred.
  • Prior experience leading small teams or coordinating tasks is a plus.

Skills and Abilities
  • Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results.
  • Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.
  • Ability to work long and irregular hours may vary due to functions and may include day, evening, weekends, and holidays.

Computer Skills
  • Basic proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, Email, and Internet applications.
  • Familiarity with parking systems or signage programs is a plus.

Other Qualifications
  • Must be licensed to operate a motor vehicle in the United States.
  • Ability to operate or learn to operate equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.
