Visit Albuquerque is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Marketing to lead initiatives that inspire travel and drive visitation. This role oversees digital marketing, website strategy, email marketing, content development, brand activations, social media and marketing operations while managing a talented and dedicated Marketing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop and execute integrated campaigns promoting Albuquerque as a destination for leisure travel, meetings, conventions and sports tourism.
  • Lead digital marketing programs, including SEO, GEO, SEM/PPC, email marketing, website analytics and content strategy.
  • Oversee the development, functionality, content, optimization and performance of Visit Albuquerque's website and microsites.
  • Supervise Marketing staff and interns, including setting priorities, goals and performance expectations.
  • Manage relationships with marketing agencies, vendors and contractors.
  • Plan and execute brand activations, event sponsorships and experiential marketing initiatives.
  • Monitor budgets and campaign performance, prepare reports and make data-driven recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or related field, with five or more years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing measurable marketing campaigns.
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing, email marketing, website management and website analytics.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Excellent project management, writing, editing, communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience managing budgets, agencies, vendors and external partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, work independently and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in tourism or hospitality and knowledge of Albuquerque are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel and work occasional evenings and weekends.

The salary range for this position starts at $100,000 and an offer will be made based on experience.
