Job description

The Audio/Visual Supervisor assists and supports the Manager of the Audio-Visual Department. They will lead the audio-visual team through daily tasks, read banquet event orders, and coordinate with various departments to meet their needs.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Attend staffing, catering, and any scheduled pre-conference meetings as needed
  • Organize and assign work to others, maintain BEO Log accuracy, and advise others of changes
  • Use paperwork to guide daily activities and support guests
  • Praise, discipline, and counsel staff as necessary to maintain positive morale
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Seek council from management when needed
  • Maintain and clean all A/V equipment and supplies
  • Address all guest concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Update paperwork after events to bill clients accurately and verify pricing exceptions and modifications
  • Arrange shift scheduling if the manager is not available and confirm it after posting
Qualifications:
  • Strong Technical Background - preferably in A/V events
  • People Management experience- preferably in A/V events
  • Customer service experience - preferably in hospitality or A/V events
  • Attention to detail
  • Engage in physical activities like standing for long periods, walking, and utilizing hands for tasks that involve gripping, handling, and reaching
