Job description

POSITION SUMMARY: The Campus Event Design Coordinator is responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and installing décor for campus events ranging from small gatherings to large-scale, campus-wide celebrations. This role requires a strong eye for design, advanced floral skills, and the ability to manage décor logistics from concept through execution while collaborating closely with the Events team and other campus departments.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Design and implement décor concepts for a wide range of campus events, including major celebrations such as Christmas events and other large-scale programs.
  • Determine appropriate campus and venue décor, including tablescapes, centerpieces, floral arrangements, and overall ambiance.
  • Create custom centerpieces and décor elements tailored to each event.
  • Execute floral design for both small and large installations; strong floral design skills are essential.
  • Source décor items, floral materials, and design elements while maintaining quality and budget awareness.
  • Install and oversee décor setup and teardown, ensuring designs are executed accurately and safely.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate logistics related to décor installation and event setup.
  • Work closely with the Events team, receiving input from event owners and stakeholders to align designs with event goals.
  • Make final design decisions when needed and confidently implement approved concepts
