Event Manager
POSITION: Event Manager
DEPARTMENT: Events
REPORTS TO: Assistant General Manager
FLSA STATUS: Full-time, Exempt
SUMMARY
Legends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has an excellent and immediate opening for an Event Manager at the Boeing Center at Tech Port. The Event Manager is responsible for coordinating client needs with the building staff to assure proper set-up and smooth operation of events by acting as the primary contact. Giving support to Assistant General Manager when needed as described below.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Acts as the central contact during all phases of event management for users, clients, promoters and contractors of the center for the acquiring and dissemination of event and facility related requirements and information.
  • Receives, assembles, and distributes event information to the center staff and works with staff to facilitate efficient and satisfactory completion of client requirements.
  • Oversees and manages all event related services provided by center and ensures coordination and interaction of all event services operation within the facility with center staff as assigned.
  • Works with the Senior Event Manager in ensuring that the staff and its users are familiar with safety and emergency procedures programs in effect at the Center for all employees and users.
  • Coordinate and utilize the event records management system relating to all phases of event planning and operation.
  • Communicate staffing requirements and logistics to outside agencies and vendors.
  • Prepare floor plans, seating and event diagrams using Social Tables or other event diagram software.
  • Works with staff to develop and maintain a service-oriented attitude.
  • Handles the coordination of specific events with respect to Event Work Orders and Event Change Orders to ensure that all extra billable items are passed through to the Finance Department.
  • Ensure that all users and contractors are familiar with building policies, procedures, rules, and regulations and that they are properly and appropriately enforced for events directly assigned.
  • Provides on-floor management of Center event-related services and ensures that all requirements are carried out according to the client's needs.
  • Assists with Guest Services operations and issues that may come up during events.
  • Additional duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • A minimum education level of: Bachelor of Arts/Sciences Degree (4-year) or equivalent experience.
  • Two to Three years of event management experience or related public relations, promotions, etc. required.
  • Ability to work long, often-irregular hours, including nights, weekends and holidays as required by the events.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills required.
  • Excellent computer skills.

  • Must be highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and meeting critical deadlines
  • Must be able to respond to questions promptly and accurately.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Ability to stand and walk for entire length of shift
  • Ability to lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 60 pounds and place items on high and low shelves
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility; to stand for long hours during events; talk and hear. This position may require work inside or outside of the building, as needed by events.
