Job description

REPORTS TO: Banquet Manager

Come join the event team at Truss! We are looking for positive hard-working team members looking to work part time 3-8 shifts a month.

Our Event Staff will be paid a rate of $18-$21 per hour depending on the role played at each event. Roles will vary event to event. Roles will vary per shift. Bartenders $18 per hour plus tip. Event staff $21 an hour. Staff meal provided.

Position Summary: The Banquet Event Staff is a highly visible role and is key to the success of our dining experience. This role serves as an ambassador to our guests and helps to ensure the ambiance of the event is maintained and guest expectations are met.

Essential Functions

  • Interact with teammates and guests in a friendly and professional way
  • Carry trays containing food and/or beverages
  • Serve and bus tables to standard
  • Follow established safety, sanitation, and security procedures
  • Clean, organize, restock, and maintain areas around you
  • Help with the set up and tearing down process of events, includingmoving tables and chairs
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 21+ for event staff/bartending hybrid role, 17+ for event staff only
  • Ability to work 9-hour or longer shifts on your feet, some ending late in the evening
  • Committed too and being on time for shifts
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds or less, maneuver up and down stairs with no difficulty
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Guest focused, servant minded
  • Positive, engaging personality
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Willingness to learn, we are willing to train!

Work Environment

Work is performed in an event environment. This role requires primarily standing and walking during entire shift. Work environment is fast-paced and team member must be able to manage multiple priorities throughout a shift. Exposure to cold and heat may occur on regular basis throughout a shift (entering refrigeration equipment, multiple industrial/food service and exposure to cooking appliances).

Position is full-time or part-time. Schedule will vary. Occasional overtime may be required.
