We're Hiring a Catering Assistant!
Friendship Village Tempe is looking for a Catering Assistant to help lead our special events with style and service! If you enjoy creating memorable experiences, providing outstanding service, and being part of a team that truly cares, we'd love to hear from you.
Pay: $17.63-$19.39/hour (DOE)
Schedule: Availability will need to include days, evenings, weekends and holidays - based on the schedule of events
What You'll Do:
  • Assist with the preparation, setup, and breakdown of catered events, meetings, and special functions.
  • Set tables, arrange decorations, and prepare event spaces according to event specifications.
  • Provide professional food and beverage service to residents, guests, and staff.
  • Support the Catering Team in ensuring smooth event operations and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of event areas before, during, and after functions.
  • Assist with transporting food, beverages, supplies, and equipment to event locations.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and concerns.
  • Work collaboratively with dining services and culinary staff to ensure successful event execution.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

What You'll Need:
  • High School graduate preferred.
  • Minimum of two years in a FOH dining services position is required, catering or event experience is preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills with great attention to detail
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry items throughout scheduled shifts
  • Ability to lift and or move up to 50 pounds independently
