MEDICAL ASSISTANT
Medical Assistant (MA) at Moab Regional Health Center: Full-Time
Moab Regional Hospital is seeking candidates for one full-time MA position in our Specialty Clinic.
This position is full-time, Monday-Friday. Hours are typically 8 AM-5 PM, but may occasionally vary. Availability between 7:00 AM- 8:00 PM is required.
Summary: The Clinic LPN/MA assists in the examination and treatment of patients under the direct supervision of a licensed physician/provider and reports to the RN Clinic Manager.
Completion of an accredited LPN or MA program is preferred, but not required. EMT, CNA, and others with medical experience/training are encouraged to apply.
Compensation:
Non-Certified - $20-$28.48
Certified - $22-$31.33
Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for examination, take vitals, and record patients' health history
  • Administer immunizations
  • Perform routine specimen collection and tests
  • Prepare equipment, stock examination rooms, clean instruments
  • Assist with in-office procedures
  • Assist in other areas of medical office support including pre-visit planning, clerical, environmental, and organizational

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a courteous and friendly manner
  • Must be detail-oriented, organized, reliable, and punctual
  • High level of self-motivation and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to multi-task and problem solve effectively in a fast paced work environment
  • Flexible and willing to accept other duties as assigned
  • Able to lift/move 25 pounds without assistance and lift/move weights beyond 25 pounds with assistance
