Job description

We're looking for an energetic, detail-oriented, and relationship-driven Client Experience & Events Coordinator to create exceptional experiences for visitors to our Chicago Inspiration Center in the heart of Fulton Market.  Our Chicago location welcomes local, regional, and national guests and serves as an important expression of the KI brand. In this highly visible role, you'll help ensure every client visit, showroom tour, event, and interaction is engaging, seamless, and memorable.  The salary range for this position is between $28-34/hour based on candidate skillset and experience.

What You'll Do

Deliver Exceptional Client Experiences

  • Welcome clients, dealers, designers, architects, and guests to the Inspiration Center
  • Coordinate and prepare for client visits, meetings, tours, and presentations
  • Create personalized experiences through thoughtful planning, hospitality, and attention to detail
  • Assist with showroom tours and product demonstrations
  • Coordinate presentation materials, digital signage, and visitor communications
  • Anticipate client needs and proactively resolve issues
  • Manage client gifts and showroom sample requests

Plan and Execute Memorable Events

  • Coordinate Lunch & Learns, CEUs, networking events, happy hours, and other client engagement activities
  • Partner with sales, design, and marketing teams to deliver impactful experiences
  • Manage invitations, guest lists, vendors, catering, décor, setup, and follow-up activities
  • Support KI's presence at trade shows and industry events
  • Assist with the annual Fulton Market Design Days experience

Serve as a Brand Ambassador

  • Maintain an organized, welcoming, and inspiring showroom environment
  • Ensure the Inspiration Center consistently reflects KI's brand standards and client experience expectations
  • Manage product libraries, sample inventory, and showroom resources
  • Coordinate showroom schedules, tours, and appointments
  • Gather visitor insights and share recommendations to continually enhance the customer experience

Support Business Operations

  • Provide administrative support to local sales and leadership teams
  • Manage budgets, invoices, expense reports, and reporting metrics
  • Utilize Salesforce and other systems to track visitor engagement, events, and showroom activity

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in a client-facing role
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications

  • Event planning or coordination experience
  • Commercial furniture, architecture, design, or related industry experience
  • Salesforce experience
  • Passion for hospitality, client service, and creating memorable experiences
