Responsibilities
- Safe and efficient production of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage products according to specified recipes, and specifications as well as quality and quantity control, par levels, product storage and rotation, station set up, preparation of ingredients, clean up, etc.
- Sales and service of restaurant food menu items to restaurant bar or restaurant lounge guests including knowledge of menu item price, portion size, flavor profile, preparation method and prep time, and accompaniments.
- Sales and service of beer list items to restaurant guests including knowledge of price, styles, types, pairing with food, proper glassware, etc.
- Responsible, legal alcohol service, including checking identification, measured pours, cutting off service of alcohol, etc.
- Maintain Board of Health sanitation standards, personal hygiene and cleanliness, as well as beverage service techniques and safety all with regard to the safe handling of food and beverage products for guests’ consumption.
- Ensure that bar and equipment are in good working order and that the work area is clean and hazard-free. Notify supervisor immediately if bar and equipment are not in good, safe working order.
- Efficiently work with co-workers and management in a casino restaurant bar environment, involving high volume or gourmet, fast paced production in a friendly and professional manner.
- Sales and service of tobacco items to restaurant bar guest including knowledge of prices, types, pairing with food and beer, etc.
- Display knowledge of all emergency procedures
- Provide positive communication and use ACES skills with every patron and co-worker.
- May be required to perform duties at the Lawrenceburg Event Center (LEC).
- Perform any reasonable, temporarily assigned job duties outside the position’s job description where, in the Company’s judgment, those duties are necessary in the interest of efficiency, productivity, or guest service.

Requirements
Atleast 21 years of age
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED required. 2 years experience in the food and beverage service industry as a fine dining and high volume restaurant bartender or similar position. Knowledge of restaurant food menu items, prices, portion sizes, flavor profiles, preparation methods, prep times and accompaniments. Knowledge of beer list Items including flavor profiles, prices, growing regions, production methods, pairings with food, etc.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, write, speak and understand English, distinguish letters, numbers and symbols and be involved in daily professional communication with supervisors, co-workers and guests.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
Possess ability to operate an adding machine and have basic computer skills.
REASONING ABILITY:
Should be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must be able to obtain an Indiana Alcohol & Tobacco Commission License and an Indiana Gaming Commission Occupational License. Position requires employee to be at least 21 years of age and be certified in Indiana state-approved Alcohol Training. Required to comply with safe and hazard-free work environment practices stipulated by Hollywood Lawrenceburg, County/State/Federal Department of Health and OSHA policies, procedures and regulations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Cast Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
The position requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, push or pull 150 to 250 lbs on a pushcart, and enter walk-ins of -10 degrees to 140 degrees Fahrenheit with or without assistance. Must handle heat from cooking appliances, glassware and washing machines. Requires normal or corrected vision range, with the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols. Ability to stand for duration of shift walk frequently, bend and/or reach to a height of 6 feet with or without assistance (stand, sit, walk, lift, reach, push, pull, grasp).
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is performed indoors and/or outdoors and involves continuous exposure to high and low temperatures, sunlight, fluorescent light, wet surfaces and noise. Work may entail trained chemical usage and constant contact with fellow employees and guests. Work is typically in an area, which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, and may contain cigar, cigarette, or cooking smoke. Work may be performed in small areas with a 3 ft. wide access. Tasks will be performed from a primarily non-sitting position (approx 95% standing, walking and 5% sitting). Employees will be required to navigate safely on potentially slippery floors. Tasks include the maintenance and care of assigned area or any tasks assigned by senior management.
