Minimum Requirements (Education/Experience)
High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate and one (1) year of related experience. Basic computer skills required (i.e., ability to use email, Word, Excel, and other applications).
Preferred (Education/Experience)
Advanced computer skills preferred. Related data entry experience preferred.

Special Notes
The Specialist I, Workforce Education provides administrative, data management, and customer service support for Adult Workforce Education programs. This position coordinates student registration, maintains accurate enrollment, assessment, attendance, and student performance data while also assisting with state and federal accountability requirements.
The successful candidate must have knowledge of Adult Education programs, Workforce Education reporting requirements, and FOCUS student information systems. Proficiency in FOCUS, Microsoft Excel, and other technology applications is required to manage data, generate reports, and support program operations. The Specialist serves as a resource to students, staff, and community partners by providing information on program offerings, registration, and student services while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with district, state, and federal policies and procedures.
Work Schedule
• Occasional evening hours may be required to support Adult and Workforce Education classes and student services.
• Occasional weekend hours may also be required during registration events, testing, orientations, recruitment activities, and other program initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
• High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate required.
• Administrative, data entry, or office support experience preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and experience using database or student information systems (FOCUS).
• Strong organizational, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience in Adult Education or Workforce Education educational environment preferred.
• Bilingual preferred.
