We are looking for an energetic, creative, and compassionate Activity Aide to help bring joy, purpose, and connection to our residents every day. You will assist in planning and leading group and individual activities, support special events, and build real relationships with the people who call our facility home. What You'll Do

  • Lead and assist with group activities including arts and crafts, music, games, and exercise programs for residents on our Dementia Unit

  • Provide one-on-one activities for residents who cannot attend group programs

  • Adapt activities for residents with dementia, memory impairment, or physical limitations

  • Set up, facilitate, and clean up activity spaces before and after each program

  • Assist with special events, holiday celebrations, and themed dining programs

  • Decorate the facility for seasons and holidays to create a warm environment

  • Document resident participation accurately in the activity record

  • Escort and assist residents to and from activity programs safely

  • Support volunteers and community visitors during programs

  • Report any resident behavioral changes or concerns to the nurse

 

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Prior experience working with elderly or memory care populations

  • Certified Nurse Assistant, preferred but NOT required

  • Warm, patient, and enthusiastic personality

  • Creative, energetic, and able to engage with others

  • This is an Afternoon/Evening position - no exceptions will be made. Start by 2 p.m. and end at 830 p.m. No Weekend Work Required

  • Previous experience doing activities with older adults preferred.
