Job description

Evening Production

Tide Cleaners โ€” Lubbock Plant

$11โ€“$14/hour based on experience | Mid-day to Evening Shift

The Role

You'll be part of the production team that makes Tide Cleaners work. You'll handle garments from start to finishโ€”cleaning, washing, pressing, folding, and assembly. Your attention to detail and work ethic directly impact our customers' experience and our business. No dry cleaning experience? No problem. We'll train you. What matters is that you care about quality, show up ready to work, and take pride in your output.

If you're someone who notices when something isn't right, takes initiative, and works well alongside a team, this is a good fit.

What You'll Do
  • Dry clean and wash garments according to Company standardsโ€”select the right cleaning method based on fabric type and care tag, load and monitor equipment, and follow procedures
  • Press and finish garmentsโ€”shape, steam, and press each piece to standard; iron when needed; spot-check for cleanliness and damage
  • Fold and package garments for deliveryโ€”neatly fold and arrange orders; prepare for pickup or delivery
  • Maintain equipment and work areaโ€”follow preventive maintenance schedules, keep production area clean and organized, report equipment issues immediately
  • Inspect for qualityโ€”check each garment for proper cleaning, correct finishing, and freedom from damage before it leaves the plant
  • Track and log production activityโ€”record load poundage, chemicals used, and other operational data as requested
  • Work safelyโ€”follow all safety procedures, use equipment correctly, and report hazards or unsafe conditions
  • Support your teammatesโ€”help keep the operation moving smoothly, step in where needed, and communicate with Production Manager and peers about issues
Who You Are
  • Detail-orientedโ€”you notice when something isn't clean, isn't pressed right, or isn't finished correctly. Quality matters to you.
  • Work ethicโ€”you show up on time, ready to work. You take your job seriously and follow through.
  • Hands-on and physically capableโ€”you're comfortable standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs regularly, and doing repetitive physical work
  • Coachableโ€”you ask questions, listen to feedback, and apply it. You want to get better at your job.
  • Team playerโ€”you work well with others, communicate clearly, and help the team hit its goals
  • Safety-mindedโ€”you follow safety procedures, report issues, and look out for yourself and your teammates
  • Reliableโ€”you show up consistently and can be counted on
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required if you have relevant work experience
  • Dry cleaning experience is a plus, but we'll train you if you have the right attitude and work ethic
What We Offer
  • Competitive pay: $11โ€“$14/hour based on your experience and performance
  • On-the-job trainingโ€”we'll teach you dry cleaning skills. You start with support and grow as you learn.
  • A stable, consistent schedule (mid-day to evening shift)
  • Respectful, team-oriented workplace where your effort is noticed and appreciated
  • Opportunities to grow and take on more responsibility as you develop skills
  • A company that values hard work and does things right
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods (3โ€“4 hours per shift)
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly throughout the shift
  • Ability to work in warm conditions (production floor can be warm, especially near pressing and cleaning equipment)
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision (pressing, folding, button replacement)
  • Manual dexterity and fine motor control for detailed finishing work
Schedule

Mid-day to evening shift. Specific hours will be communicated at time of hire and may vary based on business needs.
