Job description

All About Arconic:  Arconic is currently in search of Entry Level Production employees to join our Global Rolled Products Operations business unit in Lancaster, PA.  Arconic Lancaster has been a leader in the aluminum manufacturing industry and a strong community partner for over 75 years.

At our 1.3 million square-foot plant, we produce a variety of products--from painted aluminum sheet to blanked aluminum products. What we produce here is found in a wide assortment of end products, such as truck cabs, cookware, and construction materials. We also produce brazing sheet used by auto manufacturers to make evaporator and condenser components.  Over 400 customers use our product for a variety of consumer goods.

All About Production:  As an entry level production employee, you could end up in one of many departments including the Cast House (where scrap aluminum gets melted into ingots) to the Hot or Cold Mill (where coils are made and customized to our customers specs) to Pack/Ship (who help deliver our finished product on time).  Our entry level production employees will work rotating shifts and be available for overtime to safely create and deliver on what our customer needs.

Safety is our number one value.  We will provide you with all the PPE and training you need to perform your job safely.  This position has been designated as a safety-sensitive position.

Schedule:  Our plant runs 24/7/365. Shifts are a 12 hour rotating shift (6a-6p or 6-6a) on a 28 day cycle. Employees are scheduled 14 of the 28 days and off for 14 of the 28 days. There are mandatory and voluntary overtime opportunities. Sundays are always paid premium (time and a half). Pay is weekly.

  • Must be able to adapt to temperature and environmental extremes such as hot to cold, dust, dirt, chemicals and elevated noise levels

Benefits Package:

  • Strong base salary with variable quarterly bonus program (target 5% of earnings)
  • Generous Health Benefits beginning day 1! (medical, life, dental and vision plans available)
  • 401(k) Match Program (up to 6% company match) PLUS a company Retirement contribution (3% of base salary)
  • Paid vacation accrual PLUS 9 annual paid holidays and 2 personal holidays

In addition to the above benefits, Arconic offers:
