Summary: The Millwork Salesperson is responsible for achieving sales and gross margin objectives within the millwork category including doors, windows, trim, moulding, and specialty wood products by developing strong relationships with contractor and DIY customers. This role combines product expertise, estimating, and customer service to drive profitable growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with contractor, DIY, and commercial accounts, positioning as a trusted millwork expert.
  • Builds "business partner" relationships by recommending product solutions, design options, and efficiency improvements related to millwork installations.
  • Provides accurate bids, quotes, and takeoffs for millwork packages including interior/exterior doors, windows, trim, and custom orders.
  • Maintains pricing within company guidelines while maximizing margin opportunities.
  • Actively works to increase millwork sales volume and improve gross margins.
  • Sources, orders, and manages special-order millwork products, including custom and vendor-direct items.
  • Assists walk-in customers with product selection, sizing, styles, and project guidance specific to millwork.
  • Prepares sales orders, invoices, and processes transactions as needed.
  • Coordinates with vendors, yard staff, and delivery teams to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of millwork orders.
  • Communicates customer needs, product trends, and competitive pricing insights to the Location or Assistant Manager.
  • Stays current on millwork product knowledge, including materials, installation practices, and industry trends.

  • limited to mark-up, gross margin calculation, square footage and area calculation, perimeter,etc.

  • PC literate
