Job SummarySupports the daily operations of the TCC Skills Lab during evening hours. This role serves as the primary point of contact for learners and visitors, ensuring a welcoming, organized, and well-functioning lab environment. The Lab Assistant checks in learners, provides basic program and event support, troubleshoots common issues, and assists with minor event logistics.
This position is located at Gradient: Tulsa's Innovation Hub Essential Duties- Greet and check in learners as they arrive at the TCC Skills Lab and maintain accurate attendance
- Serve as the primary point of contact during evening hours to answer learner questions related to Skills Lab programs, workshops, and events
- Provide basic troubleshooting support for learners, including technology access, room setup, and general navigation questions
- Assist with minor event logistics, including room preparation, sign-in support, materials setup, and post-event breakdown
- Communicate learner needs, incidents, or operational issues to the Lab Coordinator or Skills Lab staff in a timely manner
- Collaborate with Skills Lab staff to ensure smooth evening operations and positive learner experiences
Minimum Qualifications- Ability to interact effectively and professionally with learners, staff, and visitors.
- Demonstrated ability to perform duties under one's own initiative and with limited supervision.
- Detail-oriented with good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications- Demonstrated customer service or front-desk experience
- Familiarity with workforce development, skills training, or higher education environments
