This full-time position offers a remote work setting, allowing you to provide therapeutic services from the comfort of your own space while remaining connected to our Eugene-based outpatient facility. Our hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, with the possibility of some evening hours on a rotating basis to accommodate client appointments. This flexibility promotes a healthy work-life balance while remaining committed to our clients’ therapeutic journeys.

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health and substance use concerns, identifying the presence of co-occurring disorders using established screening tools.

• Collaborate with clients to design personalized treatment plans that integrate evidence-based interventions addressing both mental health and substance use needs.

• Deliver individual and group therapy sessions focused on helping clients develop essential coping mechanisms, relapse prevention strategies, and skills for emotional regulation.

• Engage in regular coordination meetings with a multidisciplinary team, which includes psychiatrists, nurses, and addiction specialists, ensuring holistic and integrated treatment approaches.

• Monitor substance use through regular assessments and motivational interviewing techniques to inspire clients towards sustained recovery.

• Educate clients and their families about the interconnected nature of mental health and substance use disorders, highlighting the significance of adherence to treatment protocols.

• Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and treatment interventions in compliance with legal and professional guidelines, ensuring timely record-keeping.

• Participate actively in case conferences, team meetings, and professional development workshops to enhance knowledge and skills specific to co-occurring disorder treatment.

Your primary focus will be on supporting clients who experience the complex interplay of mental health challenges and substance use disorders. You will work with individuals from diverse backgrounds, ages, and experiences, all at different stages on their recovery paths. Your role is crucial in guiding these clients towards sustainable growth and resilience through personalized therapeutic strategies.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current, valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Oregon is mandatory.

• Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities for co-occurring disorders, including Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• A strong understanding of the interaction between mental health and substance use disorders is essential for effective treatment delivery.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills are necessary to foster successful collaboration within an interdisciplinary team aimed at achieving the best outcomes for clients.

• Experience in delivering therapeutic services within a clinical setting focused on mental health and substance use disorders is advantageous.

• Previous involvement in integrated care practices or co-occurring disorders treatment programs is preferred.
