Position Overview
This adjunct faculty member teaches English courses to students pursuing a broad range of Associates in Arts, or Associate in Science degrees.
Courses may be taught in an array of teaching modalities: MDC In-Person, MDC Live (Learning Interactively in a Virtual Environment), MDC Online (online delivery) and Blended Classes .
What you will be doing
  • Teaches lecture and laboratory sections
  • Evaluates and advises students
  • Participates in departmental and College affairs
  • Develops curricula
  • Recruits students
  • Serves on committees
  • Performs other duties as assigned
What you need to succeed
  • Master's degree in English from a regionally accredited institution; or a Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution and 18 graduate credit hours in English
  • Must be able to communicate effectively
  • Must be able to work well with students, faculty, staff, and the community
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule which may include morning, evening, and/or weekend assignments
