Job description

AV Installer Summary: The Installation Technician performs tasks for the installation of audio visual equipment. This position is responsible for completing technical installation and management of audiovisual systems, including equipment rack fabrication, site preparation, termination and calibration of audio and video equipment, implementation of control systems and video conference systems. Responsibilities: Interpret drawings and perform equipment installation, testing, and troubleshooting for commercial AV projects.

Pull wire, providing structural mounting of equipment, including projectors, displays, microphones and speakers. Install equipment racks and control panels. Connect and terminate cables and wire.

Troubleshoot systems, equipment, and wire fails. Track and enter information such as serial numbers, IP addresses and location of equipment. Keep client sites clean Clean and stock vehicles and bags.

Follow job site safety and general rules. Compile daily work report. May have to take after-hours phone calls.

Attend job site meetings when requested. Travel when necessary, including overnight and evening and weekend work. Occasionally receive and ship inventory.

Operate forklift (will certify if needed) Log time and attendance in company system Qualifications: Audiovisual installation experience on jobs like performance venues, houses of worship, corporate conference rooms, video walls, sporting field houses, and athletic fields. Experience with audiovisual cables, switchers, routers and connectors preferred. Soldering experience.

Basic mechanical, carpentry or construction skills such as measuring, leveling, drilling, screwing, making physical connections and labeling wire utilizing related tools. Basic knowledge of Windows/MS Office. Experience reading and interpreting schematics and blueprints.

Drive company vehicle; requires maintenance of valid drivers' license and clean driving record (MVR), per company policy to maintain ability to be insured. Understand and speak English. Strong interest in AV, the go-to expert that friends and family call when they need AV help, or a strong desire to become that person.

Have clear communication and exchange of information with others. Use time efficiently and remain productive when working independently, sometimes offsite. Project a professional presence on job site, with customers and at home office.

Schedule: 8:00am-4:30pm (OT may be required) Salary: $25/hr
