Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior BMC Helix Consultant to join a large enterprise IT organization. This is a hands-on technical role responsible for designing, developing, customizing, integrating, and supporting the BMC Helix ITSM platform and related applications.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with BMC Helix ITSM, AR System development, Innovation Studio, Digital Workplace, and enterprise ITSM integrations in complex production environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, customize, and maintain BMC Helix ITSM applications.
  • Configure and customize BMC AR System workflows, forms, filters, active links, and escalations.
  • Develop and maintain applications using BMC Innovation Studio.
  • Configure and support BMC Helix Smart IT, Digital Workplace, and Digital Workplace Catalog.
  • Design and maintain BMC Dashboards and reporting solutions.
  • Develop integrations between BMC Helix and enterprise applications using REST APIs, JDBC, Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and related technologies.
  • Perform data migration, workflow development, testing, deployment, and technical documentation.
  • Support enterprise ITSM modernization initiatives and cloud-based Helix environments.
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues and provide ongoing platform support.
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.
  • Prepare implementation documentation, technical designs, and regular project status updates.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with BMC Helix ITSM and/or BMC Remedy ITSM.
  • Strong experience with BMC AR System development and administration.
  • Experience with:
    • BMC Helix ITSM
    • BMC Smart IT
    • BMC Innovation Studio
    • BMC Digital Workplace
    • Digital Workplace Catalog
    • BMC Dashboards
  • Hands-on experience developing custom workflows, filters, active links, and escalations.
  • Experience integrating BMC Helix with enterprise applications using REST APIs, JDBC, Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with data migration and ETL tools such as Pentaho Spoon.
  • Strong understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and best practices.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting large enterprise or public sector environments.
  • Experience with cloud-based BMC Helix implementations.
  • ITIL Foundation or higher certification.
  • BMC Helix or related technical certifications.
