Their duties may include answering phones, managing schedules, organizing files, assisting with data entry, and supporting office operations for businesses that operate later in the day. They play a crucial role in ensuring smooth administrative operations when regular daytime staff are unavailable. This position is common in organizations that have extended or non-traditional hours, such as medical offices, educational institutions, and customer service centers.
