Job description

French Press Bakery & Café, an artisanal bakery with a beautiful new state-of-the-art commissary, is currently looking to fill an Overnight Baker position at 74 Chapel Street, Needham, MA. This position starts at 9 pm.


This is an excellent opportunity to explore and sharpen classic French baking and pastry techniques, creating some of the area's best croissants and French pastry by working with the best ingredients.


Job type: Full-time/Part-time

Wage: Highly competitive, based on experience

Preferred experience: Culinary degree and two years of experience in a professional bakery or restaurant kitchen is advantageous, but training will be provided and all experience levels encouraged to apply.


OUR COMPANY

We make all of our pastries, viennoiserie, and bread from scratch each day in our Studio + Kitchen. Our croissants are small batch crafted with European butter and King Arthur flour. Our doughs are made with all-natural, house-made starters and long fermentation periods. Breads are hand-shaped and scored and then fermented before being baked.

RESPONSIBILITIES

-Preparation and baking of pastries, viennoiseries, and other bakery items

-Preparation of doughs, cookies, batters and fillings

-Preparation of mise en place

-Assist in preparation and pack of wholesale deliveries

-Proactive assistance with kitchen cleanliness and organization
