Role Description

We are looking for a proactive Sales & Marketing Coordinator to play a critical supporting role in our wholesale division. This is a multifaceted position that blends sales operations, customer service, and marketing execution. You will work closely with the sales team, independent reps, retailer partners, and internal operations to ensure smooth order fulfillment and exceptional partner support. In addition, you will contribute to marketing initiatives that strengthen brand presence and drive retailer success. This role is ideal for a high-energy individual who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting where wearing multiple hats is the norm.

EuropChrisa Eyewear, based in Vernon Hills, IL, is one of the largest independent designers and manufacturers of eyewear frames in the United States. Europa offers a diverse portfolio of 11 independent eyewear brands, including STATE Optical Co., which launched in 2015, and American Optical (AO Eyewear), which are both produced in our Chicago factory, the largest eyewear manufacturing facility in the United States. Europa partnered with Blue Point Capital Partners in April of 2023 to prepare for its next stage of growth. As part of the platform strategy, Blue Point made its first acquisition, in eyebobs, an omni-channel premium readers brand based in Minneapolis, MN, in 2023 as well.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Operations Support

  • Provide day-to-day support to the wholesale sales team and independent sales representatives.
  • Assist with order processing, tracking, and fulfillment for retailer partners, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Act as a key point of contact for customer service inquiries related to orders, shipments, inventory availability, and account support.
  • Help manage sales operations including CRM updates, sales reporting, commission tracking, and forecasting support.
  • Coordinate with internal operations and logistics teams to resolve any order or fulfillment issues promptly.

Marketing & Brand Support

  • Support marketing efforts directed at retail partners, including the development and distribution of sales collateral, lookbooks, digital assets, and promotional materials.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of trade shows, industry events, and retailer activations (booth coordination, trade show participation, materials preparation, follow-up, etc.). Yes, you will be selling to retailers at show!
  • Contribute to brand marketing initiatives, including social media support, content creation, email campaigns, and retailer merchandising programs.
  • Help maintain and update product information, imagery, and marketing assets across wholesale channels.
  • Collaborate on seasonal campaigns and promotional programs to drive sell-through at retail.

Other Support

  • Work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, operations, and finance teams in a collaborative, startup-like environment.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and take ownership of special projects as needed.
  • Maintain a solutions-oriented mindset to support both internal teams and external retailer partners.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 3โ€“5 years of experience in sales support, marketing coordination, customer service, or a similar role (eyewear, fashion, consumer goods, or wholesale experience preferred).
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable interacting with sales reps, retailers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), Google Workspace, and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce or similar). Experience with marketing tools (Canva, Mailchimp, etc.) is a plus.
  • Experience with work-flow platforms such as ASANA
  • Detail-oriented with a customer-first mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Must be comfortable and effective in an entrepreneurial environment โ€” a large company that moves with startup speed and requires high ownership and adaptability.
  • Passion for fashion, eyewear, or the American Optical brand is a strong plus.
