What is an estate planning notary?

Estate Planning Notaries are specialized notaries who help individuals and families authenticate and witness important legal documents related to estate planning, such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance healthcare directives. Their role ensures that these documents are legally binding and properly executed according to state laws. Estate Planning Notaries may also provide guidance on the notarization process but do not offer legal advice unless they are also licensed attorneys. They play a crucial part in protecting clients' assets and ensuring their wishes are clearly documented and enforceable.

Building trust and maintaining confidentiality are essential, as the notary frequently handles sensitive personal and financial information. This collaborative environment helps ensure that clients' wishes are accurately reflected and legally protected.
