About the job:
Do you have exceptional decision-making and negotiating skills, and enjoy the challenge of making the closing process go smoothly from start to finish? Near North is looking for a Residential Escrow Officer/Closer to organize and review real estate agreements, complete the legal requirements for a transaction in a timely manner and conduct closings, while providing the utmost level of service to our clients. We provide a collaborative, energetic, team environment. Our company is a growing title insurance operation with deep local roots and with a multi-state market presence and national outreach.
As the Residential Escrow Officer/Closer role, you will be a fundamental component of the closing process and represent our company in a professional and accommodating manner. You will establish positive relationships with all parties, verify the property titles are clear, all financial obligations have been met, and that all terms and materials are accurate and in compliance with applicable regulations.
What you bring to the table:
  • 1+ years of escrow, closing, or related experience.
  • Title insurance experience preferred.
  • SoftPro experience a plus.
  • Superior customer service, organization and accuracy.
  • Interpersonal with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to other offices for closing, if necessary.
You’ll be working on:
  • Conducting real estate closings in a professional, timely and accurate manner.
  • Requesting, reviewing and preparing real estate closing documents.
  • Ensuring timely submission, accurate recording and execution of all files.
  • Complying with escrow terms for each closing.
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
  • Calculating taxes, interests, insurance and other expenses.
  • Receiving and dispersing escrow funds.
  • Entering and managing data with SoftPro system.
  • Supporting and collaborating with other Escrow Officers/Closers.
