Job description

Mobile Communications America, Inc., a leader in wireless communications, data, and security solutions is seeking an Enterprise Architect as a senior technical and strategic leader responsible for designing holistic, integrated technology solutions across LMR, cellular data infrastructure, and physical security domains for enterprise customers. This role bridges the gap between complex customer business requirements and scalable, vendor-agnostic technical architectures — serving as the most senior technical voice in enterprise sales cycles, deployments, and strategic account planning.

The ideal candidate brings deep domain expertise across mission-critical communications and security technologies, a strong understanding of enterprise IT environments, and the executive presence to engage confidently with C-suite, IT, and operations leadership at Fortune 500-scale organizations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Enterprise Solution Architecture

  • Lead the design and documentation of comprehensive, multi-technology architectures spanning critical communications, land mobile radio, private cellular (CBRS, 4G/5G private networks), DAS, in-building wireless (IBW), and physical security systems (video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection)
  • Develop detailed solution architectures, Bills of Materials (BOMs), network topology diagrams, and technical specifications tailored to enterprise customer environments
  • Integrate LMR, cellular, and physical security platforms with enterprise IT systems including ERP, SCADA, BMS, and cloud infrastructure
  • Evaluate customer legacy systems and design practical migration roadmaps to next-generation architectures

Enterprise Customer Engagement

  • Serve as the primary technical authority in enterprise sales pursuits, executive briefings, and customer workshops
  • Conduct discovery and needs assessment sessions with enterprise IT, operations, security, and facilities leadership
  • Translate complex business requirements — operational continuity, compliance, safety, scalability — into cohesive, justified technical designs
  • Develop and deliver compelling solution presentations, architecture reviews, and technical proposals to both technical and executive audiences
  • Support contract negotiations by providing technical scope definition, risk identification, and solution trade-off analysis

Pre-Sales & Business Development Support

  • Partner closely with Enterprise Account Executives and Sales Leadership to develop winning strategies for large, complex opportunities
  • Contribute to RFP/RFI responses with architecturally sound, differentiated technical content
  • Size, scope, and validate solutions to ensure commercial accuracy and delivery feasibility
  • Maintain awareness of competitive landscape across LMR, private wireless, and physical security integration markets

Standards, Governance & Best Practices

  • Establish and maintain enterprise architecture standards, design patterns, and reference architectures across the company’s core technology domains
  • Define and enforce solution design governance processes to ensure consistency, quality, and scalability across customer engagements
  • Build and maintain a library of approved architectures, reference designs, and technical playbooks for repeatable use across the field team
  • Advise on OEM partner technology roadmaps and evaluate new solutions for inclusion in the company’s portfolio

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to Solution Architects, Design Engineers, Field Engineers, and Project Managers
  • Partner with Professional Services and Delivery leadership to ensure a seamless handoff from design to implementation
  • Engage with OEM technology partners at senior levels (Motorola Solutions, Ericsson, Nokia, Axis, Genetec, Bosch, etc.) to stay current on product capabilities and roadmaps
  • Represent the company at industry events, technology forums, and customer advisory boards

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM:

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in systems integration, solutions architecture, or network engineering, with significant focus on enterprise customers
  • 5+ years of hands-on technical expertise in two or more of the following domains:
  • Land Mobile Radio (LMR): P25, DMR, Motorola Solutions APX/ASTRO platform
  • Private Cellular / Wireless Infrastructure: CBRS, 4G LTE, 5G, DAS, small cells, IBW
  • Physical Security: IP video surveillance (VMS/PSIM), enterprise access control, intrusion detection, integrated security operations
  • Demonstrated experience designing and presenting solutions to enterprise customers at a director level or above
  • Strong command of network architecture fundamentals (IP networking, SD-WAN, network security, cloud integration)
  • Proficiency with architecture diagramming tools (Visio, Lucidchart, or equivalent)
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex opportunities simultaneously in a fast-paced, pre-sales environment
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing and executive presentation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with public safety communications, critical infrastructure environments, FirstNet
  • Familiarity with broadband PTT platforms (ESChat, Kodiak, AT&T Enhanced Push-to-Talk)
  • Exposure to NFPA, NEC, TIA, and IEC standards relevant to communications and physical security
  • Working knowledge of compliance frameworks applicable to enterprise customers (NERC CIP, HIPAA, CJIS, SOC 2)
  • Active certifications in one or more relevant domains (e.g., Motorola Solutions Certified Systems Integrator, Cisco CCNP/CCDP, Genetec, BICSI RCDD, PSP/CPP)
  • Prior experience in a PE-backed or growth-stage systems integration environment

Key Competencies & Attributes

  • Strategic Thinker: Ability to see the full picture — business objectives, technical constraints, and long-term scalability — and synthesize them into a coherent solution strategy
  • Customer-Centric: Deep commitment to understanding customer outcomes and building solutions that deliver measurable business value
  • Executive Presence: Comfortable and credible engaging with enterprise CIOs, VPs of Operations, CSOs, and Facilities leadership
  • Collaborative Leader: Builds trust across internal teams, OEM partners, and customer stakeholders; elevates those around them
  • Detail-Oriented: Rigorous in technical accuracy, documentation quality, and solution scope integrity
  • Adaptable: Thrives in ambiguous, fast-moving sales and deployment environments
