Terminal Operator I – Roanoke, VA

We're looking for a Terminal Operator I to join our Roanoke, VA team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, solving everyday challenges, and being part of a tight-knit, supportive crew.

What You'll Do

In this role, you'll be a key part of our terminal operations, helping ensure products are handled safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. Your day-to-day may include:

  • Working safely at all times and following established procedures
  • Receiving and connecting railcars, steam lines, and unloading hoses
  • Monitoring and recording tank temperatures and measurements
  • Operating systems such as Order Weigh
  • Performing routine yard and equipment maintenance
  • Pulling product samples as needed
  • Keeping the work area clean, organized, and safe
  • Collaborating with team members, customers, and vendors

This role reports to the Terminal Manager and offers the chance to learn multiple aspects of terminal operations.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who is reliable, motivated, and eager to grow:

  • Strong work ethic and commitment to safety
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Good organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to obtain a TWIC card (if required)
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Physically able to lift up to 75 lbs and perform active, hands-on work
