SCHEDULE:

  • 8- hour NIGHT shift 11p-7a

  • Every other weekend required

  • Holiday rotation

UNIT DETAILS:

- 26 bed Emergency Department
- Accredited Chest Pain Center
- Level III Trauma Center
- Close partnership with ER provider team

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Coordinates the flow of information via multiple channels between patients, family, and members of the healthcare team both inside and outside of the department to ensure safe and efficient patient care.

  • Performs clerical duties related to patient information and events within the electronic medical record that provides an accurate and current record.

  • Performs inventory management including ordering medical or office supplies to guarantee correct par levels.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or GED preferred

  • Must be 18 years of age

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of fifty (50) pounds without assistance

  • Job classification is exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Normally works in climate controlled office environment

  • Frequent sitting with movement throughout office space

  • Possible exposure to communicable diseases, hazardous materials, and pharmacological agents.

  • Occasional contact with aggressive and or combative patients.

  • Use of computers throughout the work day

  • Frequent use of keyboard with repetitive motion of hands, wrists, and fingers


Position requires compliance with department specific competencies.
