Job description

ER Tech - PRN

Job Summary:

  • Provides Emergency Room technical support for physicians and nurses to optimize patient care.  
  • All activities are under the direction of the MD or RN. Assists the RNs and MDs in providing technical care of the patients by performing phlebotomy, and performing 12 lead EKGs transporting patients to other departments, placing patient on cardiac and vital sign monitors, performs Point of Care Testing, performing wound care, obtaining lab specimens and documenting all care/procedures provided.
  • Assists the Emergency Physician with technical support such as suturing simple lacerations.
  • Cleans equipment and workspace.

Qualifications: 

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Current NM C.N.A., EMT-Basic or EMT-Intermediate Certification
  • Certification; BLS Certification or obtain per policy upon hire; maintain such certifications.
