**Summary:**
The Patient Registration Representative (PRR) plays a vital role in providing exceptional customer service to patients, ensuring their satisfaction and well-being. PRRs handle clerical and administrative tasks to support the delivery of quality patient care. They uphold patient confidentiality and follow all relevant regulations to maintain accurate health records.
**Responsibilities:**
- Maintain the integrity of health records by accurately inputting and retrieving information in the Electronic Medical Record system.
- Schedule appointments, complete pre-registration tasks, verify demographic and insurance information, and ensure accurate billing.
- Identify the need for clinical healthcare staff triage when necessary.
- Coordinate patient flow, ensuring compliance with HIPAA laws and maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Collaborate with the patient care team, provide care coordination services, and contribute to Quality Improvement activities.
- Process prior authorizations, referrals, and provide specialist resource information.
