General Information

Number of Beds: 11 procedure rooms (5 cath, 4 EP, 2 hybrid OR)

Patient Ratios: 1 patient to 3 staff

Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability): Cath/EP Techs, Cath/EP RNs

Type of equipment: GE and Philips xray systems, Volcano IVUS/FFR, Merge Hemo

Documentation system: Merge Hemo and Meditech

Scheduling requirements: 4 x 10 hr shifts- 6:30 a to 5 p

Floating policy: Only float to prep and recovery

Patient Experience requirements: 2 years minimum

Hospital Specifics-Certifications:

Techs- RCIS, RCES, or RT(R), ACLS, BLS

RNs- RN license, ACLS, BLS

Advanced skills needed: BLS and ACLS; Cath Lab and/or EP Lab experience

Cath Lab- diagnostic, PCI, Rotoblator, Laser atherectomies, ECMO, TAVR, MitrClips, Watchman, IVUS, FFR, complex PCI, CTO, Shockwave, Pernumbra

EP Lab- EP studies, pacemakers, ICD, ablations (no cryo ablations), micra pacemakers, loop recorders, lead extractions to include laser lead extractions

Certifications Required:

RNs- RN license, BLS ACLS

Technologists- RCIS, RCES, OR RT(R), ACLS, BLS

Dress Code: (Required uniform) Scrubs
