Job description

Position Summary
The Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A will play a key role in supporting Standard Solar's financial planning, valuation, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities. This position will partner closely with FP&A leadership and cross-functional teams to develop and maintain financial models, analyze business performance, support capital planning and fund valuation processes, and prepare clear, executive-level materials that inform strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate is a highly analytical, detail-oriented finance professional with strong modeling skills, sound business judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced renewable energy environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop, maintain, and enhance consolidated financial models for the platform, including corporate models used for budgeting and valuation purposes, property, plant, and equipment valuation and audit processes under IFRS, and fund valuation models for assets across varying ownership structures and quarterly return analyses.
• Partner with cross-functional subject matter experts to gather valuation assumptions, assess financial impacts, and perform sensitivity and scenario analyses.
• Support Treasury in developing and updating monthly capital plans to monitor near-term and long-term liquidity requirements.
• Support the Capital Markets team on targeted modeling initiatives, including rating agency materials and covenant ratio calculations.
• Assist in preparing organized, executive-level presentations for senior management.
• Provide ad hoc analytical and reporting support to FP&A and other teams within Standard Solar.
• Support the Director of FP&A with related initiatives, analyses, and special projects.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in a financial modeling role.
• Minimum of three years of accounting and/or financial planning and analysis experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing materials for senior management.
• Strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and sound judgment.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external stakeholders.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a conscientious, consistent, and thorough work style.
• Ability to work independently with energy, flexibility, and professionalism in a fast-paced, evolving team environment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively while maintaining day-to-day responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working with databases and large datasets is a plus.
• Experience with OneStream and/or Oracle NetSuite, or comparable systems, is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or U.S. GAAP is preferred.
• Experience in renewable energy, distributed generation, infrastructure, project finance, asset management, or another capital-intensive industry is a plus.
• Experience supporting debt financing, investment committee materials, board reporting, or project-level financial analysis is a plus.
