Mount Washington at Hopkins University offers a vibrant academic and professional setting in the heart of Baltimore. This location supports a range of university operations and provides a collaborative environment for staff and students alike. Join a team that values innovation, education, and community engagement.

This position is responsible for overseeing the financial, operational, and administrative functions of the conference center location. The Manager will spend their time between financial and operational duties with the goal of ensuring the success of the location. Additionally, the position partners with leadership and sales teams to execute client events, optimize business processes, strengthen client relationships, and drive overall operational and financial performance.

Compensation Data

COMPENSATION: The Salaried rate for this position is $63,000.00 to $80,000.00. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities
  • Financial Responsibilities:

    · Performs all daily, weekly and monthly closing duties to include but not limited to A/P, A/R, client financials and payroll for location.

    · Provides timely and accurate financial reporting to Aramark including Flash reports and monthly reconciliations.

    · Prepares and presents all required client statements, financial summaries and budgets/forecasts.

    · Audits assets and procedures. Maintains all asset inventory systems.

    · Oversight and monitoring of all operational labor scheduling against forecast revenues.

    · Adheres to all Aramark financial policies and procedures.

    Operational Responsibilities:

    · Manages Conference Center Operations to include but not limited to catering operations, room set-ups, AV equipment operations as well as additional event related duties.

    · Responsible for the hiring, training, coaching, and counseling of front-line personnel to provide ongoing support and development.

    · Works with Sales manager on event execution.

    · Maintains data as required by Aramark and the client, including Licenses and Permits.

    · Maintains and follow all wage & hour compliance for local employees

    · Optimize core processes and positively influence client relationships and business opportunities.

    · Owns and fosters effective communication at all levels of the organization.

    · Assists leadership on special projects and performs other duties as assigned by the General Manager.

Qualifications
  • At least five years of experience in a management position within an Operations or Accounting position, preferably in a Hospitality Role.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Financial Reports, Spread Sheets, and P & L.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills (both verbal and written)
  • Ability to lead in a diverse environment with a focus on client and guest service
  • Candidates must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
