Sales Leader | Equipment Finance Industry
About the Opportunity
Altius Search Group is recruiting for a client seeking a Sales Leader to lead and grow a specialized equipment finance sales team in Southern California. This individual will be responsible for managing and developing a team focused on originating financing and leasing opportunities, while also helping drive strategy, business development, client engagement, and overall sales performance.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proven sales leader who understands consultative selling, thrives in a relationship-driven environment, and has a strong track record of building and leading successful sales teams within the equipment finance industry.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop a sales team focused on business development and client relationship management
  • Drive new business development and deepen relationships with clients, referral partners, and industry contacts
  • Establish sales strategy, performance expectations, and activity standards for the team
  • Mentor team members on consultative selling, opportunity management, and solution structuring
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to move transactions efficiently from initial prospect contact through approval, documentation, and funding
  • Help structure financing solutions tailored to client's equipment and technology needs
  • Monitor pipeline activity, forecast production, and drive accountability against revenue goals
  • Identify market opportunities and support continued expansion in targeted verticals
  • Stay current on industry trends, equipment finance products, and evolving client financing needs
  • Foster a high-performance, collaborative culture within the sales organization

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in the equipment finance industry
  • 5+ years of sales leadership experience within equipment finance
  • Demonstrated success building, managing, and developing high-performing sales teams
  • Strong track record of business development, client relationship management, and revenue generation
  • Deep understanding of equipment finance products, sales strategy, and transaction structuring
  • Experience with FMV lease structures and technology asset financing preferred
  • Familiarity with financing solutions for technology equipment and related business-use assets
  • Strong ability to coach, motivate, and hold sales professionals accountable
  • Experience managing sales pipelines, forecasting production, and driving consistent performance
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
  • Entrepreneurial, goal-oriented, and comfortable operating in a growth-focused environment
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required based on relevant experience
