Salary:

Summary:

The EPSU (Equipment Set-Up Preparation) Production Worker is responsible for setting up, operating, and preparing production equipment in a manufacturing environment. This role ensures that equipment is properly configured and maintained to support efficient and high-quality production. The worker will follow safety standards, troubleshoot equipment issues, and contribute to continuous production improvements.


Essential Functions:

  • Ensure proper GMPs are applied throughout the workday.
  • Ensure all equipment, utensils, and work areas are sanitized and in clean, working order.
  • Ensure prompt and proper setup of machines, equipment, and utensils.
  • Work together as a member of a team to meet daily tasks and challenges.
  • Communicate effectively with peers, leadership, and members of other production areas.
  • Maintain flexibility and ready status in order to meet changes and demands of production support needs.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to set up and troubleshoot production machinery.
  • Basic understanding of production processes and equipment maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
  • Physical ability to lift and move materials (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.


Required Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 0-2 years of experience in equipment setup or a related production role.
  • Familiarity with production machinery and safety standards.


Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically in equipment setup or maintenance.
  • Training in mechanical systems or a related field.
  • Forklift certification or experience with heavy machinery is a plus.


Supervisory Responsibility:

This job does not have supervisory responsibilities.


Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as a laptop, desktop, smartphone, and photocopiers. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Essential oils are worn and/or diffused in the work environment.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This position requires the incumbent to be physically present at the assigned worksite. The regular schedule is from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a 30-minutes lunch, Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Employees are also expected to work at least one non-convention farm event a year and to work at the annual company convention.

Exact hour requirements can be reasonably modified as necessary for the business needs by the employees manager.


Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Specific vision abilities of this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is required to type, file, and occasionally lift office supplies up to 50 pounds. The employee must be physically able to tolerate the scent of essential oils worn or diffused.
