Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a brand-new acute care unit requiring EPIC experience and at least 1 year of clinical experience.

Details
  • Acute care Telemetry unit (North Tower 7) with 18 beds
  • Patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5
  • Patient population includes medical oncology with medical-surgical overflow (CHF, DM, UTI, non-critical sepsis, HTN, COPD)
  • Nurses titrate drips including comfort care gtts (narcotics and benzodiazepines), limited Heparin gtt, and Cardizem gtt (up to 10mg/hr)
  • Tele/monitor techs present on unit; RNs read strips
  • Nurse aides on unit at 1:9 ratio
  • Respiratory equipment used includes CPAP and BiPAP (no HiFlow)
  • Charge RN oversight on the unit
  • 12-hour night shifts, FTE-based scheduling
  • Weekend requirement based on unit needs
  • Standby call requirement with 1-hour response time
  • Floating required to like departments as needed
  • Uses EPIC EMR
Requirements
  • Active WA or Compact RN license required
  • BLS certification (AHA) required
  • Bio/Chemotherapy certification preferred but not required
