Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Outpatient Oncology Infusion position in Raleigh, NC, requiring oncology experience and an active NC or compact RN license.

Details
  • Outpatient ambulatory oncology infusion unit within a hospital setting
  • Cares for oncology patients across the cancer continuum, from diagnosis through end-of-life support, as well as benign hematology and general medicine patients
  • Patient ratio of 1:5-6
  • Day shift with flexible start times of either 8:00 AM–4:30 PM or 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
  • 40 hours per week, 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts
  • 20-week contract
  • No on-call, weekend, or holiday requirements
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
Requirements
  • Active RN license in North Carolina (or compact license) currently in hand
  • Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC required
  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
  • Oncology nursing experience required
  • Ambulatory oncology infusion experience preferred
  • Nursing Diploma or ADN/ASN from an accredited nursing school required; BSN or MSN preferred
  • Two professional references required for consideration
  • Must report for drug screening within 24 hours of commitment
Additional Information
  • Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team including oncologists, advanced practice providers, and palliative care providers
  • Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, discharge planning, point-of-care testing, and patient/family education
  • Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification through ONCC is preferred
  • Background check and drug screen results may take at least 2 weeks to process; start dates may be adjusted accordingly
