Job Summary
Provides Epic product function, design, build, and testing expertise and experience for assigned Epic module related to Clinical applications. Collaborates with end users to design and build the Epic system in a timely and professional manner and make corrective configuration or enhancements. Leads multiple projects from inception to delivery.
Job Specific Duties
  • Leads multiple projects from inception to delivery.
  • Sets processes and influences technology frameworks.
  • Helps governance, data definitions, data policies and data quality.
  • Provides Epic product function, design, build, and testing expertise and experience for assigned Epic module related to Clinical applications.
  • Collaborates with end users to design and build the Epic system in a timely and professional manner and make corrective configuration or enhancements.
  • Leads small to medium complexity Epic software upgrade initiatives or enhancements to workflows including the design, build, and test phases.
  • Participates in design and validation sessions and ensure appropriate documentation, follow-up and issue escalation occurs
  • Provides technical and/or clinical consultation including application configuration. Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates system needs to develop recommendations for customers.
  • Develops, supports, and maintains all required system design and build documents and other system documentation.
  • Performs in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues associated with Epic software.

Qualifications
Minimum Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences, Information Systems or related major (or) 4 years of related IT experience
  • Clinical Epic certifications in 2 modules
  • 4-7 years of experience with implementations for large organizations
  • 4-7 years of experience in change management processes for the success of IT projects
  • 5 years of direct experience in healthcare information systems development, implementation, and supporting clinical application systems

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Direct client healthcare domain knowledge such as clinical documentation workflow, order sets, orders workflows, patient portal, closing encounters, and patient flow.
  • Experience in a complex setting such as Pediatric, tertiary, or quaternary health system preferred.
  • Able to lead multiple projects from inception to delivery.
