Their goal is to bridge the gap between clinical care and technology, ensuring efficient and effective use of Epic's EHR system.
Professionals in Epic Nursing Informatics often spend their days analyzing clinical workflows, optimizing the Epic electronic health record (EHR) system, and providing user training or support to nursing staff. They collaborate closely with both IT and clinical departments to ensure the system meets clinical and operational needs, troubleshoot issues, and implement new features or upgrades. Regular tasks may include gathering feedback from user groups, creating documentation, and participating in project meetings to support ongoing improvement initiatives.
